PALM BEACH, FL – January 19, 2019 – CREW Palm Beach/Treasure Coast launched its 2019 luncheon program on Tuesday, January 8th at the Doubletree Hotel in Palm Beach Gardens. During the luncheon, the professional organization which advocates for women in commercial real estate introduced its 2019 Board of Directors to members and guests, and also unveiled the chapter’s newly updated logo.
Sandi Quigley of The Troika Group and the 2019 chapter President introduced the board, including Lindsay Douglas who is serving as Vice President and also as Membership Chair. Immediate Past President Rachel Rossmeissl-Stone of Eco Advisors will serve as Secretary this year, and Past President Laura King of First Citizens Banks will take the role of Treasurer. Tara England of Cushman & Wakefield continues to serve as Programs Chair and is the President Elect for 2020. Rounding out the board will be Ann Inesedy of First Citizens Bank serving as Sponsorship Chair and marketing professional Lauren Perry will serve as Communications Chair.
The chapter’s monthly luncheon programs include an educational component and this month’s theme was “Sea Level Rising.” Jayantha Obeysekera, Ph.D., P.E., E.WRI, spoke about the effects of climate change and the science behind the rising sea levels that South Florida is currently experiencing.
“Dr. Obey,” who is the Director of the Sea Level Solutions Center at Florida International University, delivered a science-based presentation illustrating why sea levels are currently rising and took many questions from CREW members about how the rising sea might affect commercial real estate in the region.
