PALM BEACH, FL – April 18, 2019 – CREW Palm Beach/Treasure Coast held its monthly luncheon program on Tuesday, April 9th at The Regional Kitchen & Public House in West Palm Beach apropos to its theme “Now Trending in West Palm Beach.” Guest speaker Raphael Clemente, Executive Director of the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA), spoke to a packed room about the evolution of the city from an urban planner’s standpoint, from its founding in 1894 through today. Mr. Clemente also touched on growth management concepts that the DDA is exploring, including pedestrian safety/accessibility and ensuring automobile traffic remains low and flowing.
The chapter’s monthly luncheon programs always include an educational component in addition to providing members and potential members an opportunity to network with professionals associated with the local commercial real estate industry. Additionally, the chapter’s Platinum Sponsors are invited to give brief presentations once per year during a monthly luncheon. Niki Norton from N2 Architecture & Design presented a short powerpoint “commercial” about her firm’s services, accomplishments and best referrals during the luncheon, and also provided an assortment of branded goodies in her signature color of purple as complimentary takeaways.
The next luncheon program will be held at the Doubletree Palm Beach Gardens on May 14th from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Instead of hosting a guest speaker, members and potential members are invited by the chapter’s leadership team to give a 60-second commercial to the entire room. “One of our most popular and well-attended luncheons of the year,” said 2020 President Elect and Programs Chair Tara England. “We encourage members to reserve their spots early!”
