PALM BEACH, FL – February 19, 2019 – CREW Palm Beach/Treasure Coast held its monthly luncheon program on Tuesday, February 12th at the Doubletree Hotel in Palm Beach Gardens. The program, titled “The 411 on the New Tax Reform,” featured guest speaker Steve Rittmiller, CPA, a partner at Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC.
The chapter’s monthly luncheon programs always include an educational component in addition to providing members and potential members an opportunity to network with professionals associated with the local commercial real estate industry.
Mr. Rittmiller’s presentation focused on the changes in tax law that affect both individual and business tax filers for fiscal year 2018 and beyond. He noted that many of the tax provisions are only temporary — some expire in five to eight years — while others are permanent. He recommended to the group in attendance to be diligent about planning and forecasting with their own tax professional in conjunction with their financial advisor.
CREW Palm Beach Treasure Coast’s President Sandi Quigley of The Troika Group and Ann Inesedy of First Citizens Bank, who serves as the chapter’s Sponsorship Chair, revealed the 2019 Chapter Sponsors during the luncheon. The Platinum Investors, who contributed $3,000 for the year, include Elder & Estate Planning Attorneys, PA, n2 Architecture & Design, One Parking and Sterling Organization. The Gold Investors, who contributed $1,500 for the year, include Cornerstone Realty, Cushman & Wakefield, First Citizens Bank, Interstate Restoration, The Troika Group, Wells Fargo and Welltower.
CREW Palm Beach/Treasure Coast helps its members excel in the commercial real estate industry by providing networking, business development, leadership opportunities, and professional education. For more information on CREW Palm Beach/Treasure Coast visit http://www.crewpbtc.org.
