The article outlines the State-based Home Energy Efficiency Contractor Training Grants Program, which allocates formula funds to Florida’s Office of Energy. The program will educate and train contractors in the energy-efficiency and electrification sectors, promoting proven energy efficient products and services while reducing the financial training burden for contractors. Damien is pushing for Florida’s Office of Energy to ensure the Sunshine State gets its fair share of the federal resources the program offers, thus facilitating business owners and contractors to adapt to and maintain the energy-efficiency movement.
