LAKE WORTH, FLA. (March 16, 2016) The Lord’s Place recently celebrated the grand opening of their newest residence Burckle Place West with a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 15.
Burckle Place, located in Lake Worth, is a supportive housing program in Palm Beach County designed exclusively for single homeless women. It combines evidence-based supportive services with health and wellness activities to help residents rebuild their lives. The program’s structure prioritizes education and skill-building and empowers each woman to develop the confidence and means to live independently.
First Citizens Bank has been a community partner with The Lord’s Place since 2011 and provided a $450,000 CRA loan to help make Burckle Place a reality. Construction for this project took approximately twelve months to complete.
First Citizens Bank will continue their community partnership to help raise money at The Lord’s Place 10th annual Sleep Out event on April 7. “We are so excited to be involved with such a great organization”, said Laura King, VP First Citizens Bank. “We are so proud of the work The Lord’s Place does for our Palm Beach County residents.”
“Laura King and Scott Powers, along with First Citizens Bank have been such a pleasure to work with,” says Diana Stanley, CEO of The Lord’s Place. “They have been by our side cheering us on every step of the way.”
