CREW PBTC’s April luncheon featured two speakers who discussed restoring historical buildings for the 21st Century.
Michelle Hoyland, Principal Planner with the City of Delray Beach who leads the Historical Preservation Division, gave an in-depth presentation on the benefits of historic preservation, the economics behind it, and how municipalities use incentives to encourage preservation. She showed examples of some upcoming preservation efforts in Delray Beach, and how the blending of old and new can promote development while preserving history.
Bryan Zenchyk, Chief Operating Officer of Morning Calm Management outlined three different West Palm Beach Projects. He outlined how owners can preserve and protect historical buildings while making them appealing to 21st-century tenants. Furthermore, he shared stories of some of the specific challenges faced during these three projects and showed photos of the stunning finished spaces.
Thank you to both speakers and all who attended this sold-out event!
