CREW PBTC held its May Luncheon as a tribute to National Historic Preservation Month. The event featured keynote speaker Wes Blackman, AICP, Senior Principal Urban Planner at CWB Associates. He discussed harnessing the power of place, provided an overview of South Florida development and its evolution during the 20th century and beyond. Furthermore, he outlined how local cities such as Lake Worth Beach are embracing the movement to bring focus to historic buildings through restoration, preservation, and redevelopment efforts like that of the Gulfstream Hotel.
